Wild Silk Lavender Sachet - White Orchid

This lavender sachet depicts a delicate white orchid, which grows in the forests of northern Madagascar.  The sachet is hand-crafted from Ceranchia silk cocoons, which is a wild species of silk only found in Madagascar.  

It comes pre-filled with fragrant lavender buds, giving your home a lovely, calming scent.  In addition, it also serves as a miniature artwork.   Every detail is lovingly crafted by our artisans, making it a beautiful and meaningful gift or decoration.  

Our lavender sachets are comprised of a lacey silk outer sachet with an artwork collage, and a lightweight cotton inner sachet which holds the lavender.  This inner sachet includes a raffia cinch-tie, allowing for fresh potpourri refills.

Each piece includes a tag telling the story of the silk.

This work of art is sustainably sourced and completely handmade by our artisan group SEPALIM, a poverty alleviation organization in northeastern Madagascar.  SEPALIM invests in local leadership and community led initiatives, and works to link artisans and farmers to global markets. 100% of the profits from Tanana Silk are returned to our team in Madagascar.
