The lake holds strong populations of Northern Pike, Black Crappie, Largemouth Bass, and Bluegill, with pike numbers and size structure well above average for similar Minnesota lakes. A small public boat access and a channel connection to Turtle Lake make it a rewarding Brainerd Lakes fishery.
