The Peacock tapestry is part of the William Morris collection, a French impressionist jacquard woven tapestry wall hanging reproduction of Morris's Le Paon created in the 19th century. William Morris, the famous English artist, designed fabrics and tapestries of world renown many of which now reside in the world's most prestigious museums.
